The App follows a data-minimization principle and does not ask for personal identifiers beyond a name (we do not collect email, phone accounts, or passwords). To provide family sharing, the following information that you enter is stored in our cloud database (Supabase):
Family and member data: family name, member display names and role categories (e.g. adult, elder, infant), and the invite code.
Backpack and plan data: backpack item lists with packed/expiry status, the meeting point in your family disaster plan, and the emergency contact names and phone numbers you enter.
The contact phone numbers above are entered by you for your own family's disaster-preparedness purposes; please ensure you have that contact's consent. This data is used only to sync and display across the devices in your family. It is never used for marketing, sold, or shared with third parties.
Your current family and invite code are cached locally on your device to support offline use; removing the App or leaving the family clears the local cache.
Camera: used only to turn on the phone's LED as a flashlight in emergency mode (on iOS the flashlight can only be controlled through the camera). The App does not capture, store, or upload any images.
Audio playback: the whistle feature plays a built-in alarm sound. It does not record audio and does not require microphone permission.
Location: the App does not collect your GPS location. The "nearest shelter" feature simply opens your device's Maps app with a text keyword search.
Supabase: the App uses Supabase as its cloud database to store the family-shared data described above.
The App contains no advertising, uses no advertising or behavioral-tracking SDKs, and sends no push notifications.
Family data is retained to maintain cross-device sync. When you leave a family, that device clears its local data, but the cloud data is retained for the remaining members. To permanently delete an entire family's cloud data, email yutoupenguin@gmail.com and we will assist.
The App is not designed for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect children's personal data. Family member entries are created and managed by an adult in the household.
If this privacy policy changes materially, we will post a notice on this page. Continued use of the service indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
